Well it was a young lady actually. On a commute to the GF's today and i was doing about 20mph and about 50 yards ahead i saw another cyclist and she just fell off her bike! Two cars slowed as she went down and just drove on???. I stopped and checked she was ok. She had cut her knee open,her chin was grazed and cuts on both hands . I had my first-aid kit in my panniers so cleaned her up and she was ok.. Cant believe ppl just drove on though? What the hell?. She was meeting her BF about 100 yards further up the road so i walked her 2 him. I don't think my sons Ben-10 plasters were her colour but oh-well! (my son packed my First-Aid kit last week!) Oh ok..... I like Ben 10.....

Yep.... she was on her mbl 2 her fella!. She was very embarrassed about it because i did say something to her about that.... but she was also in some pain so i didn't preach 2 her! Glad she was ok at end of the day. Thanx 4 all the messages; It costs nothing to be nice and i would have done the same for a skateboarder,pedestrian and maybe even a motorist????

This needs to be done. When riding, I carry a wrench, a spare inner tube, a puncture repair kit and a little multitool thing, but not a first aid kit. Must invest in one, good thinking OP
People are like that though. I fell off my old Claud Butler (now every part of it apart from the frame has been replaced) biking home one night (completely my fault, I was on the off-road cycle path, but I'd had a few drinks and was holding a bike light in my hand as the cheap fitting had broken off of it), and no-one stopped to help me, even though I saw 4 cars go past, who couldn't have possibly not seen me. Karma's a bitch... Not saying the woman deserved it though

Just go a Poundshop and pick one up. Iv added other bits 2 it like scissors and extra bandages Oh and Ben 10 plasters!!!! lol

Certainly seems so.

As posted before, I've helped push broken down vehicles out of junctions, catch escaped dogs, and so forth.

On all occassions, drivers have either gone around (into oncoming traffic) or sat in their cars waiting for someone else to do something.

When I was knocked off back in the '90s, about five cars passed without stopping after the one that clipped me - fortunately I was only winded on that occasion.

You've made me think now. Is this something I should add to my saddlebag? I've got water to clean a wound, but no plasters or bandages to protect it. Which or both?

I guess cable ties and frame pump would help in the event of a broken limb, and the frame itself could be used as a stretcher, chain as an emergency tourniquet.

Any other medical uses for bike parts or accessories?
