I have wanted for years to buy a power assisted bike to pull a trailer. Dog, apples, wood etc I could increase and sometimes make practical any of the latter and many more things.
I have set my heart on a Kalkhoff, I have checked the minimum price they go for on EBay. To date I have managed to bid less than half that. So maybe I don't really want one!
So I instead I will buy a dummy launcher for the dog.

Will the dog know how to use it? Seriously, a what? I'm intrigued.

For training gundog. Initially throw a dummy for the dog to fetch. A dummy being say 6" long 2" round canvas covered and normally floats. Half pound for puppy, pound for a say 1 year old. Eventually you want them to fetch from distances greater than you can throw. So you use a launcher. This uses a cartridge to fire the dummy. With 3 different cartridges sizes to vary the distance. So the dog gets both the sound and the dummy bird and associates the two. The aim is for the dog to sit and mark where the bird falls. After a while the dog will run to roughly where the dummy landed before starting to look for it. Later it should have no problem with shotgun and real bird. Bit simplistic as there is more to it. You can cover the dummy with a pheasant skin. I was going to sow elastic on a throwing dummy tonight and cut the wings of some pheasant/partridge and stick them between elastic and dummy but you have stopped me doing it!! Or was I being bone idol?

Why not get a kit and fit it to a standard MTB.

No, not that, but they did build a full-size one to promote one of the films
It was build on a Bedford coach chassis, a 'Chinese 6', as that axle layout was referred to at one point, & was in the 'Cars Of The Stars' museum in Keswick, before it closed, I saw it there, & it is H-U-G-E

Yes, I know Ford produced a 'FAB 1' for the (Jonathon Frakes directed) live action movie
They also released a small number (thankfully!!) of Ka convertibles in the same colour, again thankfully, I've only ever seen one of them, but was surprised enough to photograph it

There's also a slightly smaller replica available for hire, in this country, for weddings/proms/etc....
