At what point does it get too cold for arm warmers?

It doesn't, you just put another pair over the top

Heh, The two fixed riders on the recent CC ride to Jodrell were the first to the tops of most hills. When Skud said to me 'show 'em how it's done' at the bottom of the Deanwater 'dip' I took off (we were both at the front of the descent despite no gears)......

As long as the week coming is not as bad as Thursday night.
Windy, heavy rain around 8 degrees C and thunder.

Muppet here only had his gilet and Summer gloves. I did the 4.5 mile commute home in record time!

What do you guys use for keeping the rain off?

I have an Altura nightvision jacket. It's Ok for rain, but I find I get quite hot inside.

[must resist commenting on the weather conditions this morning for fear of the rain gods ]

Kind of joking aside-I have cut down using BBC weather for updates-their 24 hr forecast only seems to get updated twice daily. For example i am looking at it now for the Altrincham forecast and it was last updated at 8:53pm last night.

I use The Weather Channel-seems to get updated very regularly and their mobile website is better too. All important forn a check of the forecast at 6:30 am.
