I nearly missed my train due to a Mordor Central classic last minute platform change. It's now running about 15 minutes late. Hopefully it will make most of that up by the time it gets to Manchester. At least it doesn't smell too bad.

On the first train back. Changing at Crewe even though it runs through to Euston- (a) that's what the reservation requires and (b) they did me a favour as the 2nd train has no stops before Euston so more than makes up the time- half hour quicker. And 1st class
