The Police are doing free electronic security tagging today 15/08/2008 outside the BBC on Oxford Road (near Manchester Metropolitan Uni).

Time between 4.00pm and 8.00pm

Anyone from the Uni's has already had the heads up internally.

Electronically tagging all residence of Manchester? Not a bad idea – probably lead to a big drop in national crime figures etc – but think you’ll get a lot of opposition from the likes of Shami Chakrabart and the rest of the liberal left…

Argh.... It's Friday...I'll let you off - silly season !

It was packed - got there about 4.10 and was 'seen too' (ooer) by 5.00. Once in the swing of things the 2 PSCO's were getting through the bikes quickly.... Very Popular.

Saw Sharky and his new Allez - very nice too.

Ended up in a crazy team TT with another 'commuted up MTB' from the Aquatics Centre all the way to Levenshulme - bloody fast the two of us were going - 26-28 MPH....some ped shouted out 'Olympics' !!!! I knew he was pretty quick when he accellerated fast out from the junction onto the A34, I just passed him, then the TT started....great workout !!! Now for a well deserved Beer !!!
