I prefer Specialised Armadillo All Condition or Nimbus tyres - lighter and roll much more easily. They are much easier to get on and off a rim. Would only know about fitting and removal as only change them when they are worn out. I don't get any punctures with them. However with SMP+ tyres I have had about 4 punctures in a year on my Brompton plus the SMP+ tyres are noisy and in comparison don't roll that easily.

Take them back now and get some real tires like Conti 4 Seasons or Pro Race Endurance in 23mm and at 220g, not Marathons that weigh the same as a small car !!!!!
ha! The bike actually feels much more grounded and rolling now, especially when I go round corners. It'll do for London. I'll stick a photo up on the I Love London thread of the bike taken this morning.
No photo's, your poor bike is holding it's head(set) in shame !

My Marathon without the plus tyres have done over 4500 miles and the treads still look like new, so hoping they'll get to 7000. They're the original marathons and so far have only had one puncture between them.

I bought another set from SJS at £12 each including postage when Schwalbe changed the design and SJS sold off the old ones. so I think I'll be riding on them for a long time to come.

I've put M+ on for two friends, and then ridden on them to check the fitting. No problem putting them on, but they seem very heavy and poor at rolling, though they were new and most tyres need a couple of hundred miles to run in. Don't think I'll be buying any.

They feel dead compared to decent tyres, used to be an M+ user but never again, I've seen the light:tongue:.

Just ordered my self some for a few pence over £21 each, free postage.

Can't wait to get them on and not have to worry so much about all the shrapnel people chuck on our cycle paths.
