Does anyone else have trouble unscrewing the lid after you have used it? The same goes for Bovril.

Fair point, although I have never had trouble with jars. I am one of those people who is quite fussy about not letting stuff dribble over the edge of the jar, so maybe that is why.

Used to just revert to the special jar opener if required. It was never me that made it all sticky though, honest;), I just used to find it that way. Never stopped me though.
