I intended to propose with my favorite view vissible over my shoulder...
This would be the view from the top of the old man of coniston looking into the coniston valley (it's also where I want half my ashes dumping)
however I picked our one year anaversery to go to the lakes for the weekend, staying in a little b&b, and does anyone remember the torrential rain that left fell runners stuck o. The fells in October 2008? It was the same weekend.
We didn't get to the top, millie got cold and wet and wanted to turn back so I knelt in a puddle and she got so excited she jumped up and down a fewtimes, landed in a puddle, looked at her soaking feet and started jumping up and down again.
We then went to the pub for jacket spud and dry off by the fire.
We have, on the chimney brest, an a2 photo of the b&b with the lake and the old man behind it. I can even pick out coppermines valley where we were.
