Maths question... work out stats per capita

morning!

Maths has never been a strong point so I need a little help, and Google isn't doing me any favours.

I'm trying to work out some statistics per capita (10,000 people), so if there were 14,428 boob jobs performed in Romania in 2011, and Romania has a population of 19,043,767.... how do i work out the number of boob jobs per 10,000 people?

and yes... I'm serious!

The percentage of people who have a boob job (really?) out of the population is 0.07576%

EDIT: I believe it works out at 7.576 boob jobs per 100,00 people.

How to:

10000/1904376 = ____ *14428 = 7.576

Number of boob jobs x 10,000 people divided by total population = MathewT is correct!!

Shrink the population down to 10,000
so divide pop by capita (0.000525)
and then just multiply the boob jobs by the same number which i also get to 7.57

Are the boob jobs performed both in the country and on a Rumanian though. What if Rumanina went abroad for surgery or someone from abroad went there?

My question too. Is a boob job equal to one boob being 'jobbed' or one woman having both done?

I love statistics! You can prove anything if you take the trouble to fiddle sorry, correct the figures.
