Mavic Ksyrium Campag

Just changing a 10 speed campag casssette, from about 2005 Chorus group with all individual cogs, onto a new 2012 Ksyrium Elite wheel. I noticed that there is a very thin, couple of thou?, washer /shim supplied with the wheels. This does not appear to be on my old Ksyriums again from around 2005 -6.
Instructions with the wheel, for what they are worth, do not show this.
Does anybody know if it is supposed to be there when the cassette is fitted?

We had this a few years back - from what I remember the spacer was for Campagnolo 11 speed cassettes.

I can't see anything at Mavic but try having a look through the Complete Technical documentation at mavic tech

Many thanks for this, I will see what I can find.

Left it off as to me the smallest cog was sitting slightly proud on the splines with it in place, however that was before I tightened the locknut.
