Mavic Open Pro or Miche Xpress?

Good evening all

I am considering buying a new set of wheels for my freewheel single speed. The choices I have come down to are either Mavic Open Pro with Mavic Hubs again or Miche Xpress with, as far as I know, their own make hubs too. I am strictly a commuter cycling around 15 miles a day through London streets.

Anyone care to give an opinion as to what wheels may be better? Any others I should be looking at?

I've got the miche Xpress on my fixed and love them, very stiff and smooth running sealed bearings, only down side if you call it that is the joint in the rim, I think its pinned rather than welded and so a slight edge until brakes smooth it down.

If I have to buy more wheels for the fixed then I'd willingly buy more of these

I've not got a bad word to say about Open Pros, and they're easily available should you need a replacement.

Can you get the Miche rims on their own, or just as a complete wheelset?

Open Pros are great!
Mine got me up Ventoux, and are strong enough for lightly-laden touring.

My Condor cam with hand built open pros, their recommendation and they've been great until they were smashed by a hard smash

I've now got open pros handbuilt with extra spokes and centaur hubs and they're rock
