Mavic rims cracked

I'm in Bolivia now and back wheel was a bit buckled so I went to the workshop of Gravity Bolivia the guys who organise the Death Road tours. Turns out there was a huge crack along the middle of the rear rim and lots of little cracks coming out of the spoke holes on the front rim. Both replaced now for sunrims big mammoth fat. hope they cope better!!

Mavic had a problem a couple of years ago wth cracking rims. Maybe yours were from that batch.

Them sun BMF rims are hardcore. 10000 miles easily.

I had a Mavic rim that split a few years back http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/pics/docs/00/00/14/53/small/rim.jpg?v=1s -it sort of buggers your tour up somewhat! Luckily I got mine replaced pretty fast
