Max HR for different sports?

I thought I read somewhere that each sport has a max HR which you should measure separately as it will be different for cycling as opposed to running.

For instance, my max is 191, as tested by me on the bike a few years ago. It might be a bit out but it seems to work out roughly in terms of percieved effort.

Running, which I'm doing at the moment, doesn't seem to work. In terms of percieved effort I seem to be doing steady runs, which feel steady, but in an HR zone which suggests I'm trying harder. It's not out by much, I'm probably a few beats out but I'm thinking I need to do a running test to establish my running max HR. I just don't want to because it involves suffering and pain.

Anyone know the answer?

I did read it somewhere.

I might just stick 5 beats on and see if the zones come out right.
