Ride It Like You Stole It!

I should be fighting fit by then. Just back to commuting. I've got the route somewhere from the last ride...

Round trip for me was 70 miles. It's 60 round trip from the meeting point. Looking at Garmin stats...

Ride time was about 6 hours (including meeting/cafe and a quick refill in Hope), moving time was 4 and a half.

5800 feet of climbing and we did average 15.8 mph. Ave HR for me was 150, and 185 trying to catch Crimmey on the top of the Snake as he attacked just before the top....I didn't catch him....

The climbs aren't steep - just very long. The descent into Hope is a cracker !

Snake is the first, then down to Ladybower, then straight over to Sheffield - another big long drag followed by a fast descent, and a fair few speed signs being set off. Cafe stop in the park, which was really nice !!! Two pots of tea for me !!

5 mile climb straight out of Sheffield towards Grindleford and Hope, then flew in towards Hope. Then back over the Snake. We could always stop and look at the Devil's plug holes !!! You have 4 big climbs.

Sorry not to organise my Spring ride - just not ready yet - Dans ride is the one I'll be up for.

I'll join in if nothing else crops up. National Rail belives that a suitable train will get me in to Stalybridge for 8:18. Google Maps shows a Waggon and Horses pub between Stalybridge and Mottram on a big green road; is that the meeting place?
