Right so to clarify. We are meeting at a pub somewhere between Mottram and Staley Vegas sometime after 8:18 am next Sunday and at least one of the group is going to be riding a fixed over the Pennines and back again if Pottsy turns up. Excellent

I am only 50% for this I will be away during the week before and so far it looks like I will not be home until the Sunday am.

On the other hand there is an outside chance of me finishing on the Saturday morning which will give me time to butter up the mrs and be out all day Sunday plodding around the Snake Pass etc.

So if I CAN make it , Bokonon, do you want a lift? I will know by mid week if I can be there.

I could do with some directions to the meeting place as well.:?::?:

The pub somewhere between Mottram and Staley Vegas just past the Waggon and Horses through Mottram Cutting (Toad in the wall on left) is called the Roe Cross.

Had a few jars in there last night.

Gears, if I can get them to work - had a bit of a mechanical failure on my ride last Sunday.

So if I CAN make it , Bokonon, do you want a lift? I will know by mid week if I can be there.

Sorry Will I have just found out I won't be free until midday Sunday so it looks like you are at the tender mercies of the rail system.

I'm an 'unlikely' now, been a bit under the weather recently and have now come down with a sore throat/headcold.
If I feel better later in week I'll reconsider.

Shame for you Shaun, plenty of the year left to get some decent rides in though.
