Well that was a frigging disaster. Hacienda and I set off at 9.10 in a bit of drizzle but hey ho and the climb up to the top of the snake was good, especially with the wind behind us. Then I had a simultaneous rear brake failure/front tyre blow out. Frrrrrrrrp. Regained my. Composure, replaced the front inner, snapped the valve in two whilst pumping the bugger up.

Cue much faffing. Sorted the bike out and turned round.

Cheers for the tube Chris.
No problem Dan. The descent into Glossop gave me a 5k time of 6 min 3secs so despite the head wind right at the top of the Endomondo challenge
I think the writing was on the wall for the rest of the ride after the decapitated rabbit incident.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
Well at least you tried eh Will! I had it in my head that you'd tried to double guess the weather situation and atayed in bed. At least you'd had a decent ride over my favourite climb. Nice one.I'll pop over to yours in a bit to pick up that ticket.

Hope to see you next time!

What Dan fails to mention is that his simultaneous rear brake failure and front puncture was on a twisty descent at circa 35 mph. A little bit of a heart stopper.
