Hello everyone,

I started to fix my grandfather's MBK Leader road bike and I'm in a bit of a pickle.
The bottom bracket was seized and had to remove it. Unfortunately I found that the bracket is actually a press fit with a diameter of 34mm, which I have no idea from where to buy.
I would really need some help here

Would a threadless bottom bracket like this work ?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YST-Thre...Bracket-Square-Taper-68-x-122mm/382813823813?

You will need to check what length you want

Looks great. The only concern is the outer diameter of the bracket. Looking trough the standards I found that newer threadless bottom brackets are usually over 37mm in diameter while the bore ID of the shell is maximum 34,1mm

I found a list of standards for bottom brackets at https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-unthreaded-bottombrackets.html
The closest match is a 33 or 35mm Thompson/Thun or similar.
I already contacted Velo Orange and they said that their threadless BB will not fit.

To be honest I was expecting to find a French threaded shell. If I had known that it's not the case I would have tried to repair it somehow instead of beating it to a pulp.
Now the deed is done.

I think it could be an option to modify a 35mm diamter bottom bracket...
