Mbs italy stem

Hi I've seen this stem I like it's an MBs Italy chromed quill stem

I'm wondering does anybody know about the brand or stem as I'm wanting go put it on an 80.s BIULD and I d like it to be period correct

That's a very nice stem. I would think it's probably Period correct as I don't think quill seems weren't used much after the early mid nineties except on cheap bikes. @midlife will know for sure.

Nice looking stem, I could not find it on Velobase but looks late 80s to me so: if you like it... fit it

Yep, will fit OK on an 80's build. The bolt holding the bars migrated from the underneath to the back to be a bit more aero (allegedly lol). Quill stems were replaced by Ahead type stems way after my time lol.

The problem is that you need to know the size of the matching bars, maybe something more well known will be safer. It's polished alloy and not chrome by the way.
