I nearly adopted a £65 turkey in Waitrose yesterday - they were so keen to offload them that they reduced the price to £25. Shame that there was no room at the inn. A second turkey would have tested my appetite's patience.

14lb bird, dressed weight, therefore probably around 16-17lbs undressed. My guess would be a female turkey. 20lb undressed is getting towards male sizes.
