i'm building my ultimate disc brake Ti bike and want to know what's the best mech disc brakes

I reckon those 2 are probably the 2 best out there.

Bb7 are my fave but look at trp spyke and spyre if you fancy different.

There's an old saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Bb7s work perfectly for me.

For a purely mechanical option, I'd agree re the BB7s. Cheap but effective.

The ones to avoid are Tektro - hassle to adjust properly.

TRP Hy/Rd, bit chunky but work very well, TRP Spyre, work as well as BB7 but look miles better

Looking at the budget, I may have enough wiggle room for hydraulic, but that would mean lower spec finishing kit and also 11speed

BB7's I had them on a cross bike, I have just built a MTB, I have always used hydraulic on MTB but I wanted to keep it simple so put some BB7's on, they are fine, be aware the road BB7's are different from the MTB ones.
