Mechanical odometer

I had one and it was the star wheel with the spoke attachment. I still have the star odometer part but not the mounting or the spoke part. I am looking for one for my brother who is 86. It is all he wants. Any ideas?

I used to use them. The Lucas ones were rated for a lot more than 21mph. They were about+/- 2%, nowhere near as good as well calibrated modern cycle computer and I used to go "round the clock" in less than a year as they only went up to 9999.9 miles.

They're still sometimes around as NOS or just 2nd hand. The only ones which would still correspond with modern tyre sizes are the ones for 20" wheels. The modern 26" tyres are different from the ones we had in the 1960s and 70s.
