When I got Lemmy we had 4 cats.

Stan the Man was a boy cat, couldnt care less.

Tibbles was very timid and simply stayed clear.

However, Biscuit had been a mummy cat and treated puppy Lemmy like a kitten, pinning him down and grooming him, snuggling up to him, etc. Indeed, Lemmy learned to groom himself like a cat, licking his paws and combing his hair. The vet and other "experts" reckoned it was impossible but I've seen it with my own two eyes,

And the final cat, the recently departed Lois Griffin, thought she was a dog anyway and was happy just to hang out with Lemmy as he grew up.

My self and Mrs W have always been cat people although we did look after daughter dearests dogs while she and family were on a posting to Brunei. However since the last of our cats died we have moved and live on a main road so no cats. That’s why we have gone for Bertie and now know why everyone laughs when you say we’ve got a Cocker Spaniel puppy.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The puppy stage is bliss and when they get a few years old and particularly the black/chocolate colours get a beard, they look cool.

Our next door neighbour has a Labrador and we are like besties.

I always get a gentle good morning woof when I see him, in the afternoons he likes to tell me stories and have conversations with me (although I have no idea what the woof is saying so play along) and in return I give him belly rubs and a rub behind the ear (he falls over in delight).
