Meet George

[Riding in Circles]

George is the project name for this sorry fellow, a Dawes Sport, circa who knows when, gears 2X5, so I will guess at early '80's, 28" wheels, 124mm rear dropout.

The owner would like to retain the frame and make something nice, I have suggested a single speed or fixie but he is leaning towards 10 x 1 so I will be cold setting the rear fork and making a new bike with an old frame, just thought I would chronicle it here.

The paint scheme reminds me of the Dawes Windsor tourer I bought when I first started work in the mid-late '80s.
