It is good but if you are used to something like a Tom Tom display then you will be disappointed.
Have got the City navigator on mine but am now looking for the off road one to put on too.

Never used a tom tom

I've got car sat nav, for the bike the garmins are great.

MTB's get the open mtb maps and put on a different sd card.

Whats the map feature like?

I don't use the inbuilt navigation.
I plot my route on a site like ridewithgps and transfer it to the device. It then displays the route as a pink overlay on the map. Works well.

That is how i use my 705 as I'm using it to discover new routes that I've not used before (in 25 years)... mainly near me down little farm lanes up and down hills....
