Weather OK, pack the MH with festival survival supplies, then off down south tomorrow.

Morning Troops,

Up too early to catch the train into town. There was some wetness on the driveway when I left the house this morning which threw me a bit. The legs are still feeling it after yesterday but no ride planned until Wednesday so no problem.

Quiet on here today.....

Apologies, went for a daunder round the grounds of one of the local piles; lost the squirrel spotting game 1-0.

Had an unremarkable lunch and drunk unremarkable coffee.

Was thinking about a run when it started to drizzle.

About to make tea. Probably nothing worthy of note.

A bit of long day. Mrs W wanted to go to the House of Bruar so off we trotted fairly early doors only to hit a traffic jam on the A9 turned out it was closed due to an accident at Dunkeld. So I managed to workout an alternative route which turned out to be a scenic tour of the lower highlands. So a mooch around the shop was done, things were bought and off we went back South only to hit another traffice jam this time we stuck it out only waiting 40 minutes.

Honestly, House of Bruar needs to relocate to Perth. It's full of people who'd rather go shopping than see the Highlands so all they're doing is creating traffic. The food offering is wildly over priced (as is all the fare there) and the Ballinluig motor grill is better.

Well done for making it there. It sounds like the A9 was closed both ways for most of the day.

The first time we called in, we stopped for breakfast on our way to Ullapool. Mrs W insisted we set off from East Yorkshire about 3 in the morning. So even with breakfast and a wander round the shop we still got to Ullapool 4 hours before we could book in at the B&B.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
