I found out about the Merida Cycle MTB and Sportive last night which is being held in Ruthin this weekend. The road up Bwlch Penbarras is being used for it, but is it just part of the course or a hill climb? I've looked at the website, but can't find any more information. Does anyone know?
Bwlch Penbarras is a hill crossing over the Clwydian hills and over 2.25km averages 11% gradient. A testing climb and it could make for some good pictures.
