Sadly some younger women will always be impressed by blokes who flash the cash and talk big.

Some of us just like older men...

I had a.. boyfriend isn't quite the word, but anyway, he was 22 years older than me. It was never going to be a lifelong thing I admit, but that wasn't because of the age gap, just because of the differences between us...

That said, I've also been with someone 5 years younger than me...

Going by that minimum age thing, I should be looking for someone no older than 66. That narrows it down a bit.

My mate recently went to his brother's (55) second marriage to a 23 year old and the bloke's daughter was older than his new wife.

My wife was reassured and nearly drowned in tears of laughter one night as we drove through Leeds city centre when I spotted some scantily dressed lasses in their late teens/early twenties and my instant response was "What would their dads say if they could see them dressed like that?"

Shows you are getting old when you want to put clothes on young girls rather than take them off

I have never understood the age thing.

It's not an issue really and depends on the people involved - yes there are all sorts of issues around differences, why and the reasons they are with each other, Is it exploitative, is the younger person 'mentally' young blah blah blah, so it really depends on the people but can be a great basis for good relationship.

Though, there were some things you posted Greedo that makes it sound like the biggest rebound in the world and if she seemed 'young' mentally then that sounds unhealthy too.

My most recent 'ex' was 19 years my senior - I think it was more about the ability to have a decent meeting of minds- that is rare in anyone and not necessarily determined by age. I've dated people of a variety of ages. It's about the person but I'm not the most convetional when it comes to relationships or outlook on life!

Is it just me or does anyone else find it all a bit creepy!!!!
Not creepy, no. She is old enough to know her own mind and will be getting what she wants from the relationship.

I suspect your friend is going to be very disappointed when she turns him down.

No, I haven't. It's just that there are obvious advantages for Laura in a short term causal relationship and few disadvantages. Longer term that isn't the case and I would expect her young age (not his older age) to decide her against it.
