Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my road cycling helmet and I've decided to buy one of Met Trenta or Specialized Loma.
Do you have any recommendations which one should I pick - keep in mind that there is more than 100 eur difference in price.
Or if you have any other helmet that you'd recomend me to look at.
Thanks in advance!

Know your head shape and know the shape that different brands do.

Giro and Abus fit my xenomorph shaped head well.

What do you have now?

Re size, if borderline between sizes and going into winter months, will you be wearing something under the helmet?

Mine is a Giro. They used to have a replacement discount scheme, should you damage the helmet in a crash. I've used the scheme twice!

Don't know if Giro still offer this or if other makes offer the same.

Now I use Uvex Rise (black color) which I intend to use only in winter... however now I came across Met Rivale which is cheaper than Trenta and maybi I'll go for that one for summer use.

There’s a significant protection difference between the new Met Trenta 3K Carbon and its predecessor. The new model gets one of the best Virginia Tech test results, whereas the older Trenta wasn’t so good.

I can’t remember offhand how the Specialized Loma fared in Virginia Tech testing.

Of course, fit matters more. It’s no good having a highly rated helmet that doesn’t fit!

I’ve got the Trenta 3k carbon. I don’t think my head is particularly large, but a large fits me well and a medium wouldn’t have fitted at all. My old Kask Vertigo was a medium.

Not much else to say really, don’t think about it once it’s on which I guess is the best thing you can say about anything you wear.

Won’t help if your head is different to mine though!

Pick whichever fits you bestest. My head is shaped like Kryten and Uxev are the only brand that consistently fit me well.

An excellent suggestion Sir, but with three minor drawbacks...
