metrolink changes to transpeninne trail article

An article has appeared in the Manchester Evening News discussing the chnages to the Trans peninne trail as a result of the metrolink works.
As usual a number of anti - cycling comments follow.

Couple of nasty sorts on that site. I've read their comments in the past, the users need to complain more and get a little education on the best way to tackle the numpties.

Theres a petitiion ^^^ that the CTC have been promoting.

The trail at that point runs parallel in a few places. So no real need for that section. The main route runs next to the mersey, and you cross manchester road near the cinema and then go down the side if the health club. The section mentioned isn't that important.

Got to agree with the comment about the prices quoted. £850,000 for a half a dozen steps either side of the bridge is about £848,000 more than i'd of quoted when i was in that line of work. No wonder i'm broke!
