Miche Reflex RX5 Wheelset - campag or shimano?

Hi folks,

I'm currently in the process of upgrading an old 80's road bike and have been offered a set of Miche reflex rx5 wheels for £50.

The person selling me them currently uses a campagnolo cassette. Would I be able to use my shimano components with the wheels, or would I need to change to campag?

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.

Campag cassettes have different spacing and go on a different spline, so Shimano kit won't work properly.
You can get cassettes to go on Campag hubs that'll work with Shimano spacing, but they're like hens teeth and pricy with it, so unless those wheels are bargainacious, it's not worth the bother IMHO.

You should price a replacement Shimano freewheel as that's the only way the wheels will work for you. All the wheel manufacturers have their own way of attaching the freewheel, so you'll probably need a Miche freewheel. They are usually relatively easy to replace.
