I have just been over to this new-ish trail.

First off, this is a short course and despite having red and black graded route options I think they have over rated them. By that, I mean I could ride the black routes first time without having to reccie them. Im not trying to brag, Im not great on an MTB and Im just trying to give an honest appraisal of the trail.

That said, it does have its moments and it is a very useful trail for riders with less experience looking to improve. The trail has berms and pump sections as well as a few table tops, and as I said, its a short trail so you can do it again in a short space of time next lap, or go back and do it again instantly.

As a trail it doesn't really compare to Cannock, but as a place to practice it has its value. I wouldn't recommend people from more than 15 miles go out of their way to ride it, but for local riders that haven't given it a go its well worth the effort.

The car park is free too. However, it did have some dodgy looking characters and there was a smell of burning weeds. When I go again I will try the car park at forge farm, it looked a little bit better, but Im not sure that one is free.
