Yes. The interview with Rushdie was interesting - I always thought he was a prat, but he's not quite as bad as I'd visualised.

Might give that a listen. I don't think I ever finished the book.
I didn't either - one of those books I thought I "ought to read", tried several times .... and NEVER made it beyond the first few pages. But as adapted? It really is quite superb. I've been gripped ... much to my surprise.

[Edited to add - two other superb pieces of radio recently? Partitiion Voices. And The Man Who Drew The Line. Recommended listening :okay:]

I've caught a couple of episodes but I'm going to have to go back to the beginning and listen to the whole thing. I've actually read the novel twice and after the first 50 or 60 or so pages it becomes quite magical. So, a book I found challenging to start but really fulfilling to read. I was surprised it became the Booker Book but it deserves it. And from what I've heard so far, the dramatisation sounds very promising.
