Midweek rides from SW London or elswhere

Does anyone fancy a midweek ride from time to time? Say first and third xxxday of each month.

Very sketchy idea for the moment but say 100k, cafe stops every 2 hours or so; conversational speeds but not pootling.

Destinations: the Surrrey Hills, Sussex, Chilterns, Thames Valley or Kent and Essex if train assisted taking advantage of offpeak fares

I'd be interested in rides out towards the Thames Valley. I sometimes have days off midweek and alot of Fridays when I ride on my own, so I'd be up to join any group rides.

Generally have to do the school runs on these days, so have a five hour'ish window for a ride.

Having returned from family hols I can now break the web-silence. For the moment it seems that there is insufficient support to merit a regular organised ride in the manner of the Sunday London Ride.

Perhaps the best way forward is for people to individually post, on this thread, their intentions for particular days - just as Topcat and Frank have done. Each post would be an implicit invitation for others to join.

I, for one, may well turn up for Frank's audax on 5th Oct

As a starter: this Friday 23rd I plan to do something but will need to return to Fulham before 1800. If left to my own devices I will probably leave at 7 ish, ride to Brighton via the Beacon and return to say Crawley/3 Bridges via Devil's Dyke. If any has a better notion .......

I have the next week off work if anyone fancies a mid-week ride around Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire (I live in Hemel Hempstead). 50-60+ miles or so with a cafe stop?
