Thought that my "Keep Calm and Eat More Pies' hoodie was ace. I met him at the Moonbeams folk festival near Hunmanby, yesterday.

Sadly there were no pies to be had there but there was a great choice of beer from the Wold Top Brewery.

The man has great taste.
He certainly does. He was sat just behind us at a Nanci Griffith concert a few years back. Think it was Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.

Iirc he composed the theme tune to Dangermouse. Used to live in the same block of flats as one of my mates. Thoroughly nice chap.

I have a book he wrote about walking the Peak District. The photos and descriptions are superb. One of my fave books of all time.

We have a couple of his signed books with a personal message from when he did a talk in Glenridding village hall over 20 years ago now - guessing it would have been July or August 1993. I still very clearly remember the presentation & slides he gave. It was also a long drive back to the otherside of the lake where we lived at the time

Some people pop up on every panel show until you are sick of them and have heard all their stories.
Mike Harding must be asked to do lots but never does them. He keeps to what he likes and seems to have the whole celeb thing worked out.

He was great doing stand up and songs. Very long time ago he either had a show or was a regular on a show. First time I heard Eric Bogle's "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" was Mike Hardings version on TV. And can switch from that to such silly stuff (Ross Noble if you are reading this - watch it) in an instant. Need more of him on TV and Radio.
