What a finish!! Apparently Tom should probably have launched before Pog, as had to go around.

Just remarkable that Pog hit the deck hard before the Cipressa, and then managed to get back on & to the front, very fortunate not to have taken significant damage to the bike. Pidcock was so close, looking forward to seeing what else he can do. Gripping stuff.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
MvdP unable to hold bars properly on final climb having been caught up in the Pogi crash
Ouch!
My ad blocker seems to have blocked some of the article photos too. I think I won't fix it.

That looks healthy - Are you ok Doc?

Edit - just spotted the salami, so hopefully you’re fine

The salami is there, and you can only see about a quarter of the cheeseboard...
Also, what do you think we dip the veg in, San Pellegrino water?

Just warming up for the next three weekends…..

It's important not to go out too had too early, got to get some kcals in the stomach in the early races for the season ahead

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I returned to my gardening chores immediately this finished and I've only just sat down to catch up so I've only just noticed...

Mads Pedersen came in 4th! That's bonkers for someone who has been off with serious injury and made a rather early return. Chapeau Mads.

I would have loved TP or Wout to have taken it, not because I have anything against Pog, but because it would have kept the "Pog hasn't won MSR yet" narrative running for another year
But he had to win it some time so I suppose this year will do.

Disappointed in you. Obviously that was what the entire race was really about.

On the plus side, Pog may not bother with the MSR again, leaving it available for others..
... like MVDP?
