Ah Sweapea, sorry about that...wifi can be an absolute b*tch with linux at the mo' until you work out various settings - it is getting better every release though so do try again...I believe Ubuntu is about to release 9.10 (currently 9.04) so try again in a month or two if you don't want to start getting involved with locating drivers etc. At the moment it can take a bit of work...Saying that, so can windows with my wifi card!

..or use a wire and give it a go on the sly?

Ahh yes it must have been a derivative of that story on some paper or website. Apologies, still seems a shame that they half bake it, I mean why encourage it when I bet half the roads/signs etc aren't adequate enough currently..
