Must make me a nutter then, done many training cycling runs at wind chill or real temp of -4C.

I haven't found it a problem this year TBH as I have been better wrapped up for the coldish commutes.

I've found it's only the first mile or so that's a problem, soon warm up after that.
Thick woolly socks, aldi winter gloves, and a buff to protect ears and neck from wind chill really help too.

For the last 300 winters I have worn shorts but this year I have changed it im actually wearing jeans as an underlayer and waterproof trousers and a few layers on the top with an Altura Jacket....It's been no prob.

Thankfully where I've spent the last few winters has not been very cold, but even when I was in Northern China, with temps on some days as low as minus 17 deg C, I could keep the body warm with clothes and excercise. However when the temps get close to zero I can never keep the feet and hands warm and that is the thing that makes me curtail the rides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over-trousers on this morning for warmth rather than water.

However, going to have fun riding home tonight - chain oiled yesterday, tyres pumped up, and wind behind me. Time to chase buses down the Pershore Road, methinks!!
