Missing stem bolts - Riverside 900

Hi

I'm new to cycling and just bought a Riverside 900 hybrid from Decathlon.
It's arrived but missing one of the stem bolts/screws..

Decathlon is sending me a new one out but shipment could take a few weeks.

Does anyone have any advice on finding a replacement? I've had a look on amazon but abit stumped as to what I should be measuring. Do they tend to be universal or specific to the bike?

If anyone else has this bike and/or a bit more know-how than me, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If I were you I would take it back and insist the bike is given a very thorough repeat PDI!!! And get some goodies or voucher thrown in for your troubles. Sending a bike out like that is not acceptable and makes me wonder what else has been missed.

It'll probably be an M5 bolt (try one in a bottle cage boss) but it will have a special captive washer the same diameter as the bolt head. You can get them from eBay but you must look for stem bolts. Normal bolts will not have the washer. Here's an example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402258641911

Get the right length and do NOT get aluminium alloy bolts.

Phone your local open bike shop and ask if they can supply them. Most will have a box full of bolts

that’s shocking to send a bike out like that!
