Missing wavy washer

when the LBS that sponsers my cycle club replaced my pf 30 bb it seems they didnt replace the wavy washer on the lh crank , its a preload washer or its so tight its been flattened .
the BB never creaked etc prior and now it has a squeak
They replaced it about a month ago and i never noticed till now although i thought i heard small noises that were never there beforehand

contacted them today, guy in shop claims it is not necessary , all PF BB squeak etc .After much discussion he claims not his problem so i have messaged his dad who actually owns the shop and sponsors my cycle club

That's not the only business I know where Dad has to be recalled from retirement now and again.

from what i gather talking to a number of people in the CC its an ongoing concern

I have a press fit bb. Squeaked when it came from LBS.
I refitted it myself. No squeaks now👍

i meant with the LBS not the BB

If the BB comes with a part, it’s there for a purpose. It’s not for bike shop employee to override that.
