Hi there does anyone here run one of these on the rear along with there 900 lumens front from one battery and a Y splitter. just wondered what run time you get with the front on full and the rear on full, or any other combination. ive got a two hour commute thats there and back so was wondering if it will make the distance. Cheers

It should make the distance so long as you aren't running max on the P7.

I've got 2 x 818's but I run each off it's own 6xAA pack (the original packs are spares for my 808E). 2500mah AA batteries last about 4-5 hours (3 days) per 818 running on constant.

Might be worth you getting a spare battery though - always handy having a backup.

You can run off one battery, hence the splitter - you'll just get more current draw - the 818 won't pull anywhere near the 808's current, but you'll get slightly reduced run times.

Best using your spare battery anyway. One of my 818 batteries is almost dead (left standing for a year - suspect 1 faulty cell), but I still have two batteries for the 808E.

You should be fine with the rear - two fronts off one battery, no way. Worth taking the spare and using them in rotation, and don't run it flat if possible.

i think i'm sorted now. but could i ask is it better to recharge the battery when roughly half full to prevent the light cutting out and damaging the battery cells.
