From looking at Facebook, there seems to me to be a number of jobs which attract people who like to moan about their jobs:

Teachers "It's 9pm and I'm still marking work..."
Offshore oil workers "Time to pack bags, and sit at an airport, then 4 weeks of grind..."
Sales reps "Another day, another crap hotel room..."

Did none of them look at the job descriptions before applying?

Anyway are there other occupations which seem to attract moaners?

Teachers. My wife works with them, as a nurse, and tells me there is a non-stop tirade of moaning and minnying about the most trivial, laughable things imaginable. That's not in one school, that's every school she goes to and that's pretty much the entire North-West. She would not want to trust our children in the mess of an education system we run today and we're glad they are now out of it.

I have never met a London cabbie who hasn't spent the entire journey moaning and complaining about the things encountered by cabbies, such as traffic.

Should have mentioned to him that you were a cyclist!!

I once mentioned Ken Livingston, just after he became mayor!!! LOL

Assembly line robots don't moan.

Maybe, as a species, we like having a moan about stuff, it should keep things in perspective and encourage us to advance and improve our lives but often doesn't.
I moaned about the state of my teaching job. The teaching was great, the rest of the job was a PITA, mainly due to the other staff. In the end the job made me ill so my moans were justified.

I moan about my current activities. It urges me on to make things better and improve matters. I have improved since my teaching job. I am considerably less  then I was.
