With x mas money and sale of my garmin touring im considering a new mobile phone as my moto e4 plus which has been great has had the screen repaired twice and its gone again in the corner
Im am considering either a moto e5 plus from ebay unboxed "new " or the e6 plus new boxed which is cheaper but is a lower spec battery and ram wise but more memory

My advice would be to go for any Android One phone. You’ll be guaranteed updates for at least two years and you’ll also get pure Android without any overlays on top so easier to use. There are several Android One Motorola models:

If you want Motorola this run down might be useful:

The Power would be a good choice if you want good performance and two day battery life at about £150.

too late !
argos had a a moto g8 lite for £100 , with the money i got for x mas and the sale of my old garmin im sorted and it beats shelling out £40 again for another screen which isn't as good as the original

More 'plasticky' and light, while the G just has more heft and better finishing, like rounded edges and higher quality materials. The performance of the G is a step up. I grant not everyone will care about all these things, but to me, the E feels like it is built down to a price. A bit like the difference between £3.99 and £6.99 bottles of wine, the small price premium takes you into the sweet-spot for value. IMHO, of course.

I have the motorola g7 power and the battery life is great
5000 battery on my new one according to the blurb its a bit of a beast size wise but for my aging eyes big means i can use a bigger font so i can read the screen without the need for glasses
