Moda Minor 24" for my daughter - is it the right size.

I am seriously looking at a Moda Minor 24" on a sale from Wiggle for My 9 1/2 year old daughter.

Just wanna be sure it's the right size for get but the sizing info (standup over?) info isn't on Wiggke or the Moda site.

She's 147cm tall with a 70cm in-leg

Anyone got one of these or advice?

Cheers
Tony

I've no idea about the specific bike or the measurements, is she about average height amongst her peers? Mine moved to a 24 inch bike either in year 4 or year 5, and only the tallest one made it onto a 26 inch bike by year 6.

@TonyEnjoyD Sounds a bit small for her.

My (short) 10 year-old son is 143cm tall and he's moved on from his 24" wheel bike to a 650c one; a Felt F95 Junior which is £438 at Best Bike Products. We've had it since his 10th birthday and I'd strongly recommend it.

Wiggle do a 650c version of the Moda - the Major at about £300, although you may want to consider the Major X - which has 26" wheels so is OK for cyclocross and is £315 at JE James.

His 24" wheel Trek fits but it's extended to the limit and is being used only for winter roller work, not racing. Having seen a few Moda Minor's on the race curcuits this year it's the same as most 24" wheel road bikes - suitable for age 7-10. If you were closer I'd suggest she tried it first so you've an idea of size.

Cheers all.
Still no decision from her indoors.
I suppose the good thing is the price of junior roadies has decreased a lot so I may now (have to) wait until the spring.
