Excellent @vernon ..that would be more my thing if the truth be known..
I love balsa modeling as a kid..Spitfire and Lancaster etc..
but that looks like a good hobby..

Replica kits of the Keil Kraft, Veron, Frog and Mercury ranges are now available from the Vintage Model Aircraft Company

PAW diesel engines are still made by the second generation of Eifflander family at the original factory

Online shopping for free flight supplies are obtainable from Mike Woodhouse, Flitehook and Sams Models amongst others.

It's a very satisfying hobby and I get pleasure from all aspects of it. I've yet to fly anything other than the helicopter that I haven't built from a bunch of balsa sticks and balsa sheet.

Also had a go of a R22, Amazing, The pilot auto rotated it and was doing stall turns, better than any fair ground ride.

Stopped flying Helios and planes after 25 years back in 2012. Finished up in the 10-12 cell Lipo territory (50cc equivalent) in fixed wing, and T-rex 500 & 600 6 cell helis. Cost a fortune over the years, but loved it. May well return after the kids have grown up.

Of course when you (try to) fly a single-rotor collective pitch machine, you get an appreciation of how much practice it takes to make them fly smooth. Then of course there are those that do extreme aerobatics with them.

The usual question from kids is "Can it fly upside down?"
Yes, they can.

Have to say I preferred F3c over 3d stuff, never got the grasp of blenders and death spirals..

Looks like fun, now I NEED one!
This one at Maplins looks good for a novice, and is reduced from £80 to £30.
The 3 reviews look ok, but any opinions on here?
