It may be of interest if you happen to be in the business of building a simple model of the relationship between speed/power/weight/incline/rolling resistance/altitude etc. Otherwise you may find it a bit dull.

Edit - or you could invent a kit of sensors for the bike (a little anemometer, a gadget for sensing the road surface, etc) and go get crowdfunding for the latest low cost power meter
