Modern jeans are terrible. I need your help/advice.

501's - can't get them past my knees - have you twiglets for legs. I was a mere teen when I could get 501's to fit.

I'm not sure any cyclist has twiglets for legs,
I've worn 501's since I was 17, now 67 and they still fit well, even the modern ones.

Never got on with Levi Jeans, more of a Wrangler, Easy, Lee Cooper sort of style.

In America, most jeans are designed for the waistband to ride halfway down your butt, or even at the tops of the thighs, with the crotch part down by your knees. And even if the "waist" (around your butt) is 36 inches, the rest of the pants will be cut ridiculously oversize, like size 60. To keep from being arrested for indecent exposure, brightly colored boxer shorts cover the naughty bits. Cartoon characters like Scooby Doo or Daffy Duck seem to be extremely popular for boxer patterns.

A few extremely expensive jean brands are designed to properly fit... on sufferers of anorexia. Otherwise, jeans are "one size fits none."

Not been without a pair of jeans since I was about 14 there's some real bargains to be picked up on Ebay and charity shops if you look around, Levi athletic fit are good for big thighs, at the moment I have 2 pair of Lee classic fit, a pair of Levis Athletic fit and a pair of Rohan Classic fit, full price not paid for any of them, and they all get worn, and I am now 72.

I measured myself then Mrs checked the measurements and off we went to Marks & Spencer’s who outfitted me with two pairs of Jeans that stretch and they are wonderful comfortable. All I need now is a Safari Jacket and I’m back in 1971.

I combine being middle aged with jeans wearing by getting M&S straight fit ones. One of the few that I've found where they do a 32" waist and 33" leg and that are comfortable (and cheap).

I've got two pairs of 501s on the go which refuse to die so I haven't had a chance to wear my new Indigoferas yet. When they finally give up the ghost I'll probably get a pair of HebTroCo GVNR like a proper hipster twat.
