Bit of rain just now, should clear up for riding to meet pal then cycle to the far East (Berwick on Tweed) for the train to Geordieland.

Fascinating: was there a time on your train back from the ferry when you passed through Cramlington and Longbenton (home of LBAB, the Longbenton Aggro Boys) where you thought: I'd like to go through here again, but slower? What's your route?

Grey skies, vomiting child, sleep deprived wife.
Pint of the usual, thanks......coffee.

Improve on that.

Don't encourage him.

I'm going to encourage myself to drink more coffee and look at the drizzle. Shouldn't be difficult.

We are staying with a pal in Sunderland after the train then cycling back up the coast via Tynemouth etc. Overnight at Beadnell then decide whether to carry on to Berwick then head back inland or go direct inland from Beadnell, may depend on weather or legs.
Can't say I've ever thought about Cramlington or the other place!

Morning People,

We're getting back into number torturing season again here so have decided to stay at home as numbers can be tortured remotely. And it gives me an extra hour and a half in bed.

Bit nippy here - first time in months I've considered using the heater in the cave but decided to have a nice hot mug of coffee instead. Car tyre problem seems to be down to one of the internal pressure gauges having a glitch but am keeping an eye on it just in case.

Its dry but gloomy here. So it will finish coffee then go for a walk with Bertie and if it stays dry it will be a bike ride later.

Managed to salvage the day with a wander at Culross. If you're not an Outlander (or, a Castle for Christmas) person it's a bit 'meh, but the scone at the NTS café was high quality.

Decided to WFH today so I could get a hair cut. May sort stuff out later but may also resort to an early night.

Wednesday is going to be the weeks highlight as I have an appointment booked at a ski boot purveyor in Manchester, MrsHD is also coming along but her excuse/reason is that it'll be a free lunch.

That reminds I'll need new boots as my last pair started disintegrating (luckily at the end of my last trip). Mind you, they were 25 years old...

Good trip today, tailwind all the way to Berwick, arrived early, time for a couple of pints in an excellent real ale pub. Then sunny cycle from Newcastle to Sunderland along the coast. 75mile day in nice weather.
