Is the summer over?

Shorty is getting shipped off to Alton Towers today which means relative peace until late tomorrow.
I do not know why the anticipation of this is met with stress and a rant rather than happiness and excitement... ?

A day of substantially less pain than yesterday although I'll allocate myself to light duties only. Mrs Wakemalcolm thinks I'm talking more sense than yesterday which is a bit of a worry that I might have had some mild concussion.

It's nice enough in the subtropical South East, pity about the early start. At least I managed to sneak out without triggering the hound alarm. Left the bike with my mate yesterday who's 'between jobs' so got time on his hands and is sorting my front brake which was honking like a flock of angry geese yesterday, so dropping by to collect after work this evening.

Currently sunny intervals here but definitely on the cool side which might be due to its blowing a gale again, which has put me off riding. Might have another coffee instead.

Scorchio here too slightly further north than TLW1.
60+km ride in the heat plus a boat ride and met wifey and pup for brunch in the village.

Now sat on the front patio having a beer in the sun before making a start on some DIY.
