After searching on and off for a couple of years, I have finally got my hands on a Diamant monostay, it is very 90ies, Columbus EL-OS tubing, bling paint, chrome lugs and ludicrously heavy deep section clincher rims, stem and bars a bit eccentric but clearly thought through by the previous owner.

Monostay style is where the seatstays join at the rear brake and continue to the seatpost junction as one tube. They were popular with time trial riders of the era.
With modern carbon fibre construction, monostay is the norm.
