Where was the bloody monsoon Britain?, no rain going into work and then a piddly bit of rain between 10-2.30 and no rain on the way home, especially glad that I didn't wimp out.

I suppose living in the beautiful south has its advantages, well apart from having to pay twice as much as everywhere else.

Well I don't think Bristol got the soaking that they predicted. Its been quite wet this morning but drier this afternoon.

On the way to work, on a route I don't often travel on, I noticed several cars pulling off the main road using a little side road. I thought that unusual and wondered why, turned my attention back to the road, and realised too late that the ford that I had only ever been through dry, was definately not dry. At least it was fun.

This mornings commute for me was the best so far this year; crisp, dry and bright. The bad weather took a while to get here (Edinburgh) but even when it did it wasn't too bad, a bit wet and windy but we've had a lot worse recently.

The serious rain is on its way to you tonight (according to the news) but hey you're not commuting tonight:biggrin:

I had to give in and use a short length of off-road path alongside the road tonight on my way home from work. The headwind up to that point had been fierce but no worse than knackering, but then the swirling / sidewinds started along by the DVLA at Broomhouse and it was just too dangerous with the traffic skimming by on the narrow road. Especially with the rain, wet road and reduced braking capability.

First run on there since I got my road bike, but it was better to be safe than a sorry flat mess !
